Hong Kong Dance
Institute
is established in 1989 with
the objectives to promote dancesport activities and improve dancesport
standard. In realizing these objectives the institute maintains close
links with local and international dance organizations, organizes a full
range of activities including dance training, seminars, professional
examinations, demonstrations and championships. In the past years, hundred
of these activities have been held. The size of dance public benefited is
immeasurable.
The institute is operated by its two
principals - Walter and Phyllis LUK.
Walter and Phyllis are famous coaches and dance competitors. They hold the
tile of South East Asia Professional Champion, and are representatives to
the world
and Asia-pacific championships. In their teaching career they have
produced many champions.
For training purpose, the
institute operates a studio which is exquisitely set in the city centre.
Teaching is also undertaken in a number of community
halls and club houses.
